JAIPUR: The director of a coaching centre in Sikar has been arrested, and an FIR was filed against nine other coaching institute owners in Jaipur’s Kotputli for violent protests that took place on Friday.
As per the Sikar police’s FIR, the director of a coaching centre in the district’s Sri Madhopur town was leading a group of over 100 students on Friday against the centre’s Agnipath scheme. The police tried to speak to him but some of his students allegedly turned violent when policemen tried to stop them from blocking a highway.
Sri Madhopur police on Friday arrested the coaching centre director along with others for allegedly vandalising public property and attacking police personnel.
Similarly, the Kotputli police in Jaipur (Rural) have identified owners and directors of nine coaching centres and institutes for allegedly abetting students by blocking the Jaipur-Delhi highway, vandalising buses and police vehicles on Friday.
