Uddhav Thackeray Leaves Chief Minister's Residence Amid Sena Revolt

A video showed packed bags being taken out of the chief minister’s residence.

Mumbai:

Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray today left his official residence amid a rebellion by senior Cabinet member Eknath Shinde that has put a question mark on the stability of the state government.

Mr Thackeray is leaving ‘Varsha’ and going back to his private residence ‘Matoshree’ in suburban Bandra. A video showed packed bags being taken out of the chief minister’s residence.

Earlier today, Uddhav Thackeray said that he is “ready to quit” anytime but stopped short of announcing his resignation as Chief Minister.
